Does Reduction In Beta HCG In Early Pregnancy Indicate Miscarriage?
my beta hcg was 283.38 at first but then i started bleeding nd my levels droped to 78.. does this means i had a miscarriage bcause my doctor cant see any thing in ultra sound and has told me that it is a miscarriage..... but is it possible that my beta hcg levels can rise again?
Hello dear,I understand your concern. In my opinion HCG levels are variable in different people and at different weeks. It is not used for diagnosis. But ultrasound is confirmatory. As nothing is seen in ultrasound the miscarriage might be a possibility.Once the miscarriage occurs there is no chance for increase in HCG level.Because the conceptus produces HCG hormone and once there's expulsion of conceptual the source of HCG is lost.Dont worry.
