Does Removal Of Appendix Cause Digestive Problems In Future?
Hi, I had an appendectomy over ten years ago as part of a surgery to remove an benign ovarian cyst. About a year after the surgery I began having heart burn and acid reflux. My surgeon had insisted on my having my appendix removed. Does removal of appendix cause future digestive problems?

I really appreciate your concern, hyperacidity or reflux acid disease is not due to appendectomy, but this could be more possibly due to stress, but this can be well taken under controlled with "Tab Omeprazole and Domperidone 30 mg once in day" hope this information helps, take care.
