Surgery offers the best chance for cure in lung cancer, unfortunately not many are in a stage where they can be operated upon.
What kind of surgery was done, based on that and what is the post operative histopathology, what is the status of regional lymphnodes, All these dictate the need for further chemothearpy and radiation.
