Hi Sir,My mother has been diagonsied with TB lymphadenitis . The only worry is after taking medicines particulary rifamicin she is getting chills,fever and rigor.Can you please let me know whether it is advisable to continue this.How do I know that she is responding to treatment well.How do we check the intermittent improvement. An increase in appetite, an increase in weight and reduction in the size of nodes are the signs of improvement.
Rifampicin is an integral part of all anti tuberrcolosis regimen. Please don't stop it.Fever with chills is not due to it. It might be due to infection. Take Paracetamol s.o.s for it.
