Does Sharp Pain On Toe And Bruising Indicate Broken Blood Vessel?
I had a sharp pain in my big toe on right foot. Not bumped no sign of a bite. the pain resembled a charlie horse. lasted about 15-20 minutes. Looked slightly swollen. About an hour later a bruising appeared on outer side of foot at base of toe and between toes but not on bottom or top of the toe. No swelling. Could this be simply a broken blood vessel.

I really appreciate your concern, this could be due to infection and chances of paronychia may be likely, this can be well managed with "Tab Ibuprofen 400 mg three times in day and after the confirmation of infection antibiotic can be initiated, hope this information helps, take care.
