Does Skipping Savaysa And Metoprolol Succinate ER Medications Cause Any Adverse Effects?
My mother-in-law just found out that she has AFIB and does not want to take a blood thinner. The doctor prescribed Savaysa and Metoprolol er Succinate 25mg. She has a hard time remembering to take pills each day and I am concerned that she will have a problem if she missses a dose.
Definitely skipping the dose of Savaysa can make the patient more prone to clot formation and thrombosis thus leading to stroke or systemic embolism. Similarly omitting a dose of Metoprolol can make your heart rate faster and worsening the condition. Skipping a dose of Savaysa can lead to clot formation and thrombosis, thus leading to stroke and systemic embolism.
Similarly, omitting a dose of metoprolol can make your heart rate faster, which is already faster in atrial fibrillation and this fastness of heart rate is controlled by metoprolol. Thus in my opinion, you should stick to the dose prescribed by your doctor and take these accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
