Hello,

Ear plugs usually do not cause such an imbalance. But if it is pushed too hard at a time, while wearing it may have lead to rupture of ear drum or some pressure changes in the ear which may, however not necessarily at all, lead to imbalance. General advise:

1. Use soft plugs or simply cotton plugs
2. Don't insert anything inside the ear

Next Step: Proper diagnosis is a must and for that you must have

1. Clincial examination by an ENT specialist

2. Audiometry &/or Tests for vertigo including VN.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
