Does Slightly Low Blood Sugar Level Cause Impaired Balance?

It s been almost six months i m having this problem. Long story short. Im a computer guy used to work long hours.I have been working abroad almost 1 and half years now. I used to take medicines for depression as well. It has been almost six months now i m feeling off balance and drowsy. It s like when I m standing and looking at someone talking to me(with eye contact) i feel off balance and i can t look down from high buildings and some time i m getting this feeling when i m walking. I m underweight as well.Recently i went to see the doctor and checked my heart he said it s all good. And I did blood reports liver function test all were fine apart from random blood sugar test which was slightly low.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is the effect of antidepressant medicine causing impaired balance rather than low blood sugar.

You need a dose adjustment or change of molecule so far as antidepressant medication is concerned, that is the best remedy for the control of balance.

At present, advisable to consult your doc office for further guidelines. Till that time, driving should be avoided as far as possible.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
