Hello I need help! I smoked marijuana at a friends house and had a bad experience I was hallucinating and freaking out and felt like I was going to die ! It s been a month since then and I don t feel like myself anymore and feel as if I ve lost my inner monologue or have a blank mind ! This is the only time I ve smoked weed, have I somehow inflicted brain damage?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
* As per my clinical experience, the smoked weed effect passes away within a max period of 5-7 days, if not being taken repeatedly and subsequently after the first one.
* When there is period of a month is being passed, in your case, it is psychologic depression component more than effect of marijuana.
* I would recommend to consult with an expert psychiatrist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
