My 45 year old husband has developed lumpy nails around the nail bed also vertical ridges in the nail. In the last 10 months he has also developed a skin condition, exsyma (spelling?!) which has progressively worsened around his fingers. He was smoking 2 roll up cigarettes a day until 4 months ago.
Smoking can be one of the risk factor to develop these lumpy nails around the nail bed also vertical ridges in the nail & eczema.
Kindly consider quitting smoking
