Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Good evening, I just took a police promotion exam. One of the questions was, smoking marijuana will give your skin what color hue I think the answers were green, red, yellow and blueish-green. I have been a cop for 15 years with a lot of training and I have never heard that marijuana will change or give your skin a color change. Will you clear this up for me?

Does Smoking Marijuana Change Skin Color?
Hello, Thanks for the query, Yes off course marijuana can alter the skin color as well as texture in many ways . It can change skin color by lowering the blood pressure of the body , which is a temporary effect . Marijuana promote aging which make the skin dull and leathery in long term usuers . Usually skin become yellowish . Any type of smoking changes the oxygenation and blood circulation slightly. Marijuana leads to very early development of wrinkling on face and skin becomes dull and dead. Drink plenty of water and try to quit it to prevent side effects. Wishing you a good health. Thank you Dr Harry Maheshwari
