Does Smoking Weed Cause High Levels Of Ck Cardiac Enzyme?
Two weeks ago i had a heat stroke from dehydration from playing football and after going to the doctor for a follow up they say i cant practice because of my ck level cardiac enzyme is still to high. If i smoked weed, could that be whats causing the levels to be so high ?
Elevated creatine kinase may be caused by conditions including: Brain injury,Delirium tremens (severe alcohol withdrawal),Muscle diseases such as dermatomyositis, polymyositis or muscular dystrophy,Myocardial infarction (heart attack),Myocarditis (infection of the middle layer of the heart wall),Rhabdomyolysis (muscle destruction),Stroke,Trauma. Three different forms of creatine kinase are: CK-MM (located in the skeletal muscles and heart), CK-MB (mainly located in the heart), and CK-BB (located in the brain). In your case the rise may be due to heavy muscle exertion or even cardiac damage but to confirm cardiac damage you have to undergo TRPO-T test as well. Smoking causes vasoconstriction in whole body and may lead to slight hypoxia especially in previously compromised individuals due to brain, muscle, heart damage.
