I went to the hospital after having diarrhea for about 2 days and vomiting. i was diagnosed with having gastritis. Now on my 4th day in of having it, it has improved from how it was on Sunday night but this morning there still was some diarrhea but there also was passage of some normal firm stool. I am slowly starting to eat again and gain an appetite and i am drinking plenty of water, specifically smart water for the electrolytes that i keep losing from the diarrhea. I was told to take imodium and pepcid AC and the imodium did nothing for me really but with time and smoking weed honestly i have been starting to feel better. So my questions are, does smoking weed help with gastritis pains? Based on how i am feeling now, which is normal enough to start going to work(had to take off work from monday to wed) and being more than 2 blocks away from my bathroom at home, how much longer will i be going through this experience and when should the diarrhea stop? Also, today i bought a salad and 2 bananas with a smart water and a ginger jasmine tea, so am i eating appropriately for where i am currently with having gastritis or do i still need to be eating easier and softer foods?
