Does Sore, Painful Tonsil Suggest Recurred Strep Infection?

i have a sore left tonsil and it hurts to swallow or yawn... Both tonsils have small red spots almost look bloody on them no puss though. I have no fever and have had drainage and slight cough. I completed treatment for strep infection almost 6 weeks ago. Is it possible i have strep again so soon?

Read your query as you habe sore painful tonsil this can be due to common cold also dont be worried so much I will suggest you to take precautions do warm saline gargle two -three times a day and you can take medicine like Allegra by consulting with local doctor .
