Does Stomach Infection Cause Delayed Periods?

Hi, I am on the pill and have been for a couple of years and I am currently am on my last row, waiting to get my period, but i usually get it on tuesday and as it being friday I still havent gotten it. I got sick with a 3 day stomach bug on Sunday and old blood and some new blood was released, enough to wear I had to wear a tampon, but then it stopped. I had sex once this past month but we used a condom and I was efficiently taking my pill. Could my stomach bug have delayed my period? What should I do?

Hi, I think any type of stress can lead to delayed periods. But if you have taken antibiotics, efficacy of pills decrease. So, do a urine pregnancy test at home to rule out pregnancy. If negative, wait for your periods.
