Does Stopping Norethisterone Intake Help In Losing Body Weight?

I had a hysterectomy 4 weeks ago to remove fibroids. Prior to this I suffered heavy and continuous bleeding and was put on Norethisterone to stop it. I was on this medication for 7 months (ceased taking it when I had my op). I gained 5kg after I started to take the Norethisterone and wanted to know if I will now lose this weight since I no longer take it.

Hi, I think you will have to maintain a healthy diet and do regular exercise to lose some weight. Only stopping norethisterone wil not help in losing the weight which you have gained already. Hope it helps.
