Does Stress Cause Pain On Right Side Of Body From Back To Chest?
Hi I have dull pain on right side of my body especially starting from my upper back to front chest. It aggravates during my period. I have done all the necessary checks like doing mammogram, chest x ray and orthopedic check...but everyone says its due to stress..is it possible
Pain in the lower right at the back is commonly indicative of appendicitis, kidney infection or stones. Pain may radiate to the chest 'cause of dyspepsia, acid reflux or muscle discomfort.
You are suggested to visit ER, get physically examined by a GP. If pathology is detected it will be treated.
If no pathology is detected it is indicative of stress, anxiety & depression. You may need the help of a psychiatrist or a counselor.
Stay away from addictions if any. Take adequate rest & avoid stress.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
