Does Surgically Treating Abscesses On The Buttocks Affect Renal Function?

I have a cluster of boils , ( absesses ) on my right buttock . It started about 4 months ago , got to the size of a baseball and then started to go down in size so I thought it would b best to leave it alone so as it would not rupture under my skin like the last one . My question is ( it feels as though there is fluid moveing freely under my skin but only 2 holes on either side that no fluid comes from . It feels hot and itchy and continues to spread . Can I loose renal function if I choose to go have these surgicaly removed being as their so deep and soo many ? I am scared and have no one to help me after surgery .

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear Greetings
Regarding your experience with clusters of boil at your buttock I am suggesting that you have the following differential diagnosis

Abscess
Cellulitis
Folliculitis
Impetigo

In view of this please do the following test
Blood culture
Wound culture

Meanwhile please see emergency physician with the results and for further clinical evaluation of the wound as well as adequate drug prescription

Moreover you will benefit from a minor surgical process called incision and drainage in case it is an abscess

Concerning the function of your kidney after surgery i am suggesting it will be intact reason because it is not a major surgery

I hope this helps Regards
