Does Swollen Armpit Lymph Node And Neck Pain Indicate HIV Infection?
Hello doc,i want ask about hiv..i am did sex without condom befor 5 month and i did rapid test is negative and did elisa also negative..now i have lymph node swelling under my rt armpit..and pain in my neck ..my question..is the result conclusive??and is this symptoms related to hiv ??
Hi, Welcome to HCM If your Rapid and ELISA were negative after 3 months of your risky contact then these symptoms are not at all related to HIV. These results are conclusive after 3 months unless you are on some immunosuppressive drugs which may likely to hinder the antibody production and the reliability of these tests. Otherwise they were conclusive. There are many other reasons for lymph node swelling and pain in neck for which we have to investigate. Just forget the possibility of HIV. Get well soon. Dr S.Murugan
