Does Swollen Breasts Indicate Early Signs Of Pregnancy?
Hello. I am 27. I am in relationship for around 8 months. We have unprotected sex and i am not on any pill. I should get me period in around 5 days but I am really worried what is happening with my body. My breasts are swollen painful, big sensitive nipples, I think two sizes bigger then normal. My hands and feet always cold, and I am hungry all the time. I done test witch come out negative but in 5 days I should have my period but my breast are like that for 3 weeks now. Normally they are painful 3 days before. Is that my hormones ? What should I do?
Hello, thanks for writing in. Menstruation and pregnancy both cause hormonal changes. Breast tenderness, heaviness and a swollen sensation of the breasts and other parts of the body are common pre-menstrual complaints as well. However with a history of unprotected intercourse, there is always a chance of a pregnancy, if it was your fertile period. Wait for your period to come, and if does not, take a pregnancy test the week after. Do not worry, take a gynecologist consult for contraceptive advice if you do not want a pregnancy. Take care.
