Does Taking Augmentin Instead Of Curam Cause Any Side Effects?

I ve unfortunately just finished a course of meds and I noticed the box states Curam 1000mg but my prescription label which the nurse stuck onto it states Augmentin (GE) 1g so now I m concerned in case I was given.. and have taken! *!*.. the wrong medicine. :( BTW, I m not in the States, I m in Hong Kong. Thank you. Tina :(

Hi Tina,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Curam and Augmentin contain the same medication in combination but manufactured by different companies.
Both contain antibiotic combination of Amoxicillin and Clavulanic Potassium.
Since the composition and strength is the same, taking a course of either medication would serve the purpose.
Hence, there is no need worry about it as it is not the wrong medicine given to you.
