Does Taking Coumadin Along With Lovenox Cause Shortness Of Breath?

I just started taking Coumadin last week for a mild stroke that occured 1/15/17. Unfortunately, the Coumadin along with Lovenox (as a bridge) gave me a reading of 8. Would blood that thin cause me to be tired when walking a short disance or have shortness of breath?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

While too much blood thinning may be dangerous and should be urgently dealt with but thinning of blood is very unlikely to cause fatigue or shortness of breath.

This may be related to your stroke or other medication. But make sure to seek advice for this as it's unlikely to be caused by thinning of blood and causes are numerous which needs detailed history and examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
