Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries
I can understand your concern. You are currently taking Cymbalta,
Clonazepam, Valproate,
Lamotrigine,
Bupropion, Cetrizine etc drugs.
Out of these drugs Cymbalta is
Duloxetine and is a SNRI drug. The drug is known to cause weight gain in very high doses. The drug is an antidepressant drug and if used properly helps to reduce the depressive symptoms of fatigue, lack of motivation etc.
Clonazepam is a
benzodiazepine drug and the drug is used for poor sleep. The drug doesn't cause much weight gain but it causes effects on sleep architecture and might result in increase in vivid dreams. So most likely the vivid dreams you are having are due to Clonazepam.
Valproate and Lamotrigine both are mood stabiliser drugs. These drugs are used in bipolar disorders. These drugs are safe to use but are known to cause weight gain and increase the appetite. Taking these drugs in high doses result in significant weight gain.
Cetrizine is an antihistaminic drug. This drug is also known to cause weight gain. The drug is known to result in tiredness,
drowsiness, fatiguability etc symptoms.
If your symptoms are digressing and if these drugs are causing significant weight gain then please consult your
psychiatrist for re-evaluation and change in prescription if needed.
Thanks, Hope this helps you. Take care
