Does Taking Diazepam, Zoloft And Doxepin Together Cause Diarrhea?

I am suffering from severe diarrhea. I am a combat veteran being treated for ptsd, depression, and rage. I am currently taking diazepam, zoloft, carbamazipine, and doxepin. Could this combo be causing the problem. I am currently being titrated up to 800 mg of the carbamazipine.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I have gone through the drugs you have mentioned. None of these drugs cause diarrhea. In fact they can cause constipation in some patients. So I don't think the cause for your diarrhea is drugs. Possibility of food poisoning is more likely for your diarrhea. So drink plenty of fluids orally and keep yourself hydrated. Take oral rehydration solution (ORS) and zinc tablet. Take probiotic tablets also. Eat more curd and yogurt. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
