My name is Daniel and my wife is 8 months pregnant. I have been taking finasteride since I was 21 years of age and I am 33 now. I have never missed a dose in the years I ve been taking it and i usually would bite a 5 mg dose in half, so approximately i would be taking 2 mg daily. Im concerned about the health risk factors for baby since I m taking finasteride. We are having little boy and I m nervous that semen has carried finasteride to our unborn child possibly hurting his. We have had unprotected sex while she was pregnant all throughout the last 8 months and i have ejaculated inside her vagina. Could the finasteride thats found in semen be absorbed by wife wife and cause harm to the baby. I have read that the finasteride causes a birth defect where the urthra opening is on the penis. Please help me with a straight up answer please.
