Does Taking Flagyl During Pregnancy Harm The Foetus?
Hi, I am currently 6 weeks pregnant and took Flagyl tablets 3 x a day for 4 days to fight a gym infection at 4-5 weeks of pregnancy. I didn’t know at the time I was pregnant and have just found out that they shouldn’t be taken. Will that cause problems to my baby?

You are very right that flagyl is better avoided in the first trimester. However, this does not mean that if taken it would harm the fetus. The risk is increased and is better avoided. But it very uncommonly causes harm (though it can cause).
