Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Does Taking Flexon During Pregnancy Harm The Fetus?
my wife is 12 weeks pregnant, during these 12 weeks, she has taken flexon 3-4 times approx. due to headache. All the times the gap between two intake was 10-15 days. Recently she took it yesterday. Now we are really concerned and we decided not to take it anytime during pregnancy. Just want to know if it has already created something bad in baby or we can hope positive?
Flexon contains ibuprofen and paracetamol, and though paracetamol is safe, it is not advisable to take ibuprofen during pregnancy as it can affect the growth of the fetus. It is not possible to predict at this stage whether it has caused any side effects on the fetus and can only determine on ultrasound. Avoid any further intake of this drug and consult your gynecologist before taking any medication during pregnancy.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
