General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Actually, Focalin preferably taken on an empty stomach but taking it after food is not known to hamper its activities. Let the child take it as she prefers but at the same time of day.

Please do not worry about the drug... just be watchful (especially for skin colour changes, numbness/behavioral changes or mood swings, uncontrollable muscle movements, change in vision or irregular heartbeat).

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
