Does Taking Ibuprofen Cause Headache?
I took ibuprofen and have dull headache. Is this unusual? This happens whenever I try to take more than 2 with in 24 hrs. Have to take to reduce swelling and pain from sciatica down leg. Am taking prescribed med gabapentin 900mg a day which helps. But not for swelling. I need at least 1 ibuprofen in am and 1 ibuprofen later afternoon. Thanks for you advice.

Dear patient, yes this may be a side effect of ibuprofene. An alternative for the back can be diclofenac, best regards
