Does Taking Lutera Cause Itching And Red Spots?

My daughter 17 just started taking Lutera Tablets 28's a week ago. She started right away itching her arms then red dots appeared. Now she is itching all over and it looks like red dots are appearing in other areas. Left message for doctor if she should stop taking Lutera. I called the drug store but they said Lutera doesn't normally have side effects like that.

Hi welcome to health care magic forum.
It is definitely the allergic reaction to the pills, If not to the medicine, it may be allergy to the coloring agent of the pills which may be allergic to some people.
I advise you to consult your doctor, for relief.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms levocitrizine, montelekast, and some mild steroid when there is itching and ask to stop the pills immediately. If the itching is continuing it may not be due to the pills, and can have the same treatment and resume the pills.
wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
