Does Taking Micronor Pill Alter The Menstrual Cycle?

i am 53 and took the micronor pill for 6 months due to menopause problems and had no periods all that time and so stopped taking it and continued to have no periodsbut then after another 3 months of not taking it started bleeding again although i thought i had stopped because of problem periods againhave started taking micronor again but have now had bleeding for 3 weeks . will i be better not taking the pill and just let nature take its course as being 53 hope things should stop soon anyway.

Hi,

Micronor contains only progesterone and is used to stop spotting and bleeding and prevent pregnancy.

Since you are in perimenopause I think you should stop taking them because the irregularities are normal at that stage of life.
