Does Taking Mifepristone And Misoprostol Cause Side Effects After Pregnancy Termination?

After checking result we get my g.f is really pregnant so she take this tablet (Combipack of mifepristone & misoprsoto tables.) Before 6 hours she take one tablet . the chemist said you ll get periods after 16-18hours but.periods come in 8 hours.. So please tell me is it works... On abortion? Is there is any side effect? When she's feel relex? She feel heavy stomach pain' vomiting..

I have gone through your Query & I really appreciate your concern about the problem you are facing.

As a physician I would like to tell you that you should take medicines only after consulting a Obgy doctor and not a Chemist. Now, the bleeding she is experiencing is certainly due to abortion. The bleeding will stop slowly step by step as the abortion process progresses. But, if the bleeding still does not stop after 15-20 days, I need you to take her to a Obgy doctor to check for incomplete abortion.

I would also like to tell you that Most of the side effects when using this early abortion option are caused by the second medication, misoprostol. Side-effects may include heavy bleeding, headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and heavy cramping.
