Does Taking Morning-after-pill Prevent Pregnancy?

My boyfriend tried to penetrate me without a condom on the 16th day of my cycle. We had protected sex but he likes to rub the tip of his penis around my labia before we do it. It s been almost 3 days and I m considering taking a morning after pill. What sre my chances of getting pregnant and will the pill help prevent it in any way?

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concerns.
Rubbing penis against your labia before sex during foreplay has chances of coming in contact with pre-cum (pre-ejaculate fluid), in which there is chances of pregnancy, although with less percent. Hence it is advisable to wear condom right from the start to end of the act when you start coming in contact with external genitalia.
Morning-after-pill has to be taken as early as possible after the act, within 72 hours after sex, to be effective. If your time has passed 3 days or more, then it is not effective.
It seems that you have not taken adequate precautions this time. But, don't have to worry much, as if you get your periods in time, then it confirms that you are not pregnant.
Next time onward, kindly take all precautions so that you will not land up in unnecessary trouble.
