Does Taking Primolut-N Cause Painful And Excessive Vaginal Bleeding?

hi, i took primolut Nor too late on my first day period hoping to postpone my period few days because i had it earlier than usual. My period seemed to have stopped on the first day then i had a light bleeding on the 2nd day, i feel the non stop period pain (lower back, tummy pain, cramps...) as if i actually have my period but without normal bleeding! I changed my mind and stopped taking the pill on the 3rd day hoping to normally have my period again! Will the bleeding start ? is the pain normal?! can i suddenly stop the pill on the 3rd day or should i complete the 10days? Knowing that i had endometriosis (5cm cyst on my left ovary) and a laparoscopis surjery for that 2months ago.

Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern. Firstly, you should have let the period continue normally even if it was a couple of days earlier. The pain is probably related to the endometriosis; hormone pain is another possibility. However, as the flow has been stopped through medication, you may stop treatment if the discomfort is unbearable. You can expect the bleeding to resume in a couple of days after stopping the medication. The pill can be stopped abruptly in spite of a history of endometriosis. However, I would ask you not to go for such self-medication again without consulting your health care provider. Hope this helps.
