Does Taking Progesterone Prevent Preterm Labor?
Hi Doctors, I am 43 years old and expecting baby number 3. I have a 7 years and a 6 years old children. The older one was born at week 37. The second child was born in week 28. They are 11 months apart. I did had a miscarriage last July and felt pregnant again in August. I am now at week 23. My question is should I take progesterone to prevent pre-term labor? My son wad born in week 28, I had contraction and the water did not break. What would be your suggestions to prevent going into labor early ? Thank you ! Bi

I really appreciate your concern, nothing can prevent the pre term pang and delivery if this is going to happen but it can be given try with some hormone medicine but it has to be taken under medical supervision hope this information helps.
