Does Taking Propranolol 40 Mg Cause Pulmonary Embolism?

I have been suffering from Migraine headaches since childhood ( currently 30 years old, male and a light smoker). I consulted a Neurologist 2 years back who put me on Propanalol 40mg controlled release. I have been taking it since then but have been feeling very lethargic since the last 6 months (especially morning and evening). Also, there has been PE issues since almost a year now which was not the case earlier. Can all this be related. What should i do?

Hello There

After going through medical details I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that propranolol won’t cause PE, you should screen yourself for DVT.

Kindly get lower limb venous Doppler and consult your treating physician for further treatment .

Hopefully this informational will guide you properly.

Kind Regards
Dr Bhanu Partap
