Does Taking Salmedrol Be Effective For Asthma Exacerbation?
I have been hospitalize for 8 days for asthma exacerbation. Doctors gave me 320 mg of salmedrol. Its been about 6 weeks. I have oily dark urine, still have asthma issues, and constantly fatigued. I received a letter from my primary doctor to have my WBC checked again since it was high.
It will work for bronchial asthma. But it is a corticosteroid have plenty of side-effects. It may cause hypertension, elevated blood sugar levels or peptic ulcer disease or Cushing's syndrome and prone to infections etc. Consult with your doctor for follow up he will check for above side-effects and treat you accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
