Usually usage of contraceptive pills for few years may not have serious side effects. Minor side effects like nausea, bloating sensation etc. can be seen. They won't affect your sexual life and your future fertility. You have to take the tablet everyday at the same time to get desired effect. After stopping the tablets, once the cycles become regularize you can plan for pregnancy. And if the tablets stopped three months before pregnancy, they usually will not affect the baby.
