Does Taking Contraceptives At Night Instead Of Morning Increase The Chances Of Pregnancy?

I am 21 years old, I am currently on Viorele. About a month ago I was struggling with taking my pill every morning, so I switched to taking it at night. I have been sexually active the entire time. This is the last week in my pill pack, Sunday I began the last row (which is 2 green pills and 5 yellow). Am I pregnant because I have not had my period yet?

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Viorele is a combined oral contraceptive pill containing desogestrel and ethinyl estradiol.
Oral contraceptives can be taken any time during day or night. Only thing is it needs to be taken at the same time everyday.
In case there is a delay in taking the tablets making it irregular or missing tablet on two or more occasions, then the failure rates for protecting against pregnancy increases.
When taken regularly, protection against pregnancy is 99%.
You should get your period during the fourth week of the pack. After you have taken the last tablet in the pack, start a new pack the next day whether or not you have your period.
In case there is a delay in periods, you need to seek medical attention immediately.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
