Does Taking Modus 10 During Pregnancy Have Any Side Effects On Baby?

My LMP was 5th nov'13. But till 14th Dec'13 my pregency test was -ve.My doc suggested me to take Modus 10mg for 3days,twice a day.But still after a week i didnt get my periods.On 4th Jan again i did urine pregency test and i came as +ve.I did scaning and now I am in 7th week ,please advice will modus 10 have any side effect on my baby.

Modus is medroxy progesterone acetate. it is a type of progesterone. Progesterone is a hormone required for maintainance of pregnancy.It is harmless to your baby.Natural Progesterone tabs are prescribed in first 3 months of pregnancy to prevent abortion.
