Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve been experiencing frequent urination, and took an at home uti test. It came back negative after the two minutes, however after letting it sit out for more than 10 minutes it turned purplish which indicates uti on test strip. Frequent urination is my only symptom. Can a compound thyroid medicine cause this., or vitamins?
Frequent urination can not be caused by either by eltroxin or vitamins. It is infection or some other cause. It is better to get investigated if i treat such a patient i will advice hb, tlc, dlc, esr, blood sugar, urine routine, urine culture. If i have to treat such a patient i will advice offloxacin 400 twice a day, tab metronidazole 200 three times a day, vitamin C 500 twice a day. Treatment will be improved after reports come.
