Does Taking Whey Protein Cause Increase In SGPT In Liver Test?
Hello Dr, I have been working out for sometime and taking whey protein in addition to focus on proteins in my diet. I was checking my liver test and I noticed that the SGPT is high since it should be maximum 65 and its 120 although I dont drink, I dont take any medication nor eat fatty food ... is this a direct effect of the whey and should I stop it at all?? Thanks.

No, whey protein has nothing to do with raised sgpt. conversly it has associated with the liver protection. the liver protecting function of the whey protein makes it ideal for hepatitis function. no there is no role of stopping a whey in your case. thanx healthcare magic.
