My husband has had for a long time elbow problems due to continuous use at job, diagnosed with tenuis elbow, golfers elbow & other tendon problems. He has put up with the pain & now is having chronic problems with what feels like his hand going to sleep (no feeling) could these all be associate?
Some people may notice nerve compression with a tennis elbow. This may cause compression of the nerves and can cause numbness in the hand.
Many people find icing the area of compression for about 15 mins uesful. This can help to reduce the size of the swelling and reduces the compression of the nerve. With time, the numbness would also reduce.
I also find icing, warming, and then a gentle massage useful.
I hope this works out for you! All the best.
