Does The Affected Speech After Surviving A Stroke Improve With Therapy?

My brother had a stroke in late November. His speech was effected. He has trouble constructing sentences and using the right words. His speech as cadence as if he were talking normally but the worrying is dis connected. Will this improve over time with therapy?
