Does The Antibiotics Taken During Breast Feeding Affect The Baby?
I am taking antibiotics while breastfeeding (sulfatrim) and my son now has a rash on his abdomen. It kind of looks like chicken pox, but I am wondering if he can have an allergic reaction through my breast milk? Also, he has an allergy to amoxicillin and I have one to pencillin.

It's a sulfonamide group of antibiotic and it will definitely affect the breastfeeding infant.
I would suggest you to stop the antibiotic and consult your Physician. The rash is likely to be due to drug secreted in breast milk.
