Does The Bath Salt Has Any Adverse Effects?

i am scheduled for a medical outpatient procedure tomorrow morning, for which i will be under general anesthesia for a short while (15 minute procedure) and yesterday i ingested innocuously a so called bath salt, not realizing it had what i have googled now as MDPV in it. i have searched for any contra-indications for the anesthesia and have only found that some patients come in so crazy on that crap, that they have to be put under anesthesia. i do not want to disclose this information as this is my orthopedist, and the stigma as some kind of druggy, surely would adversely affect the medications that i receive to control the pain i almost constantly endure. what should i do? it really was unknown to me that this so called legal drug contained anything other than the vitamin b-12, and sodium bicarbinate that was on the bag. i dont want to risk continuing in constant pain, and would not have done so had i known. my friend just came by and said check this out it will give you energy. i feel so foolish now. i didn t snort it as suggested but rather ingested like a goody powder a small amount

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for trusting HCM.
It is very important to provide correct history of medications, and any specific concerns to your doctor before any kind of general anesthesia. Your doctor will not judge you but will help you and will do what is best for you. Please communicate this with your doctor before surgery, general anesthesia requires proper medical history to be taken specially history of any kind of medications, even food and drinks for the last 24 hours, and doctors expect honesty from you in order to take the proper measures. hope that helped.
Best regards,
Dr. Ahmad
