Does The Elevated Value Of HbA1c Indicates Problem?

Question regarding my last labs. My HbA1c was 6.1 percent with the Ref Range <5.6%. At the same time blood was drawn my glucose number was 90 with the Ref Range 70-99. I have continued to test at home with 90 as my average 2 hours after meals. Do I need further testing since I have never gotten a high reading that would indicate a problem?

Hello,
HBA1c tells you about the blood sugar status and average of past three months and not current blood sugar values.Since your fasting levels and PP levels are normal, there is nothing to worry, however you should keep on monitoring your blood sugar levels from time to time to have a close watch.
Thanks
