Does The Intake Of Eltroxin 50 For Two Days Change TSH?
Hi,i am 28 yr old female 8 weeks pregnant ..my TSH was 22.6,so my doc started me with eltroxin 50..i took it for two days ..when i consulted my gyne she suggested to get TSH N FT4 done from a specific lab (thyrocare)..now the value are TSH -3.93N FT4-0.97..so should i continue d medication? does takin eltroxin 50 for two days change TSH? I have cold intolerance ,hair loss n dry skin since aprox 2 montths...pls guide me

Yes TSH level varies with thyroid hormonal level in body. intake of eltroxin changes TSH level in body. You need to continue medication, As you are having symptoms favor to hypothyroidism. In pregnancy need for eltroxin varies and need regular monitoring of TSH and dose adjustment accordingly. Thyroid hormones in appropriate level are very essential for growing fetus, so continue medications.
