Does The Lump On The Back Of My Upper Calf Indicate Blood Clot?
I have small lump on the back of my upper calf that seems to be deep in the skin. About two weeks ago the same lump appeared out of nowhere (not visible but to the touch). It only lasted a few hours then it was gone. I just noticed it was back tonight. It s not super painful unless I pinch at it. My insurance is awful (Blue Cross Blue Shield). I have to pay the first $7000 before insurance pays anything so I can t afford to go to the doctor everytime I have a problem. I m just recovering from a broken wrist now so going to a doctor needs to be reserved for something serious. Is this something to be concerned about like a blood clot? Thank you in advance! _T
Hello No, this isn't a deep venous thrombosis blood clot and it's not serious. If it's behind your knee it could be a Baker's cyst that, if it causes problems, can be drained.
