Does The Taking Of Cipro Cause Excessive Drooling Of Saliva?
Mother was just released from hospital for hypernatremia and UTI. Was given IV ciprpflaxcin in hospital from 2/6 thru discharge today 2/8. Mother has excessive saliva/drooling which she has never had before. Is this side effect of cipro? I could not find any info on the literature provided by pharmacy in regards to excessive drooling/salivation.

The excessive salivary secretion is because of the ciprofloxacillin. Nothing to be panic, once you stop the medicines the salivary secretion will become normal. If it is not subsided, then consult a oral physician and get it evaluated.
